After supplying Beat Basement Records MCs with beats for the last 2 years DEVELOP's first solo release was long overdue. "Beats For The Masses" is a free beat tape, showcasing DEVELOP's wizardry in creating beats that are jam-packed with dusty vinyl samples, breaks and most importantly - soul.

The idea of the mixtape stems from the blaxploitation era of music most notably with influence from the film "The Mack". It also has a slight influence from Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" conceptually and production wise, giving listeners a laid back style of music that you can ride out to with hard thumping beats and smooth melodies.

Drapetomania, the darkest duo in the Mitten, takes you on a journey into the depths of their minds in their video single EEMNAA (pronunced eem-nah). With the help of Branch Out Collective compatriot Clavius Crates, the three emcees break into the headspace so many of us try to avoid on a daily basis, owning and sharing their own misguided thoughts with an honesty that shines like the setting sun in this video. Laced with the aura of haze and brews, these young men delve into the clouded spaces of mothers, slave ancestry, religion, self-destruction, and consciousness, blocked slightly by vaporous clouds and dark shades.
With production from Professor Megablown, EEMNAA is the beginning of 2013 for the tandem of Gen Pop and Big Walt, better known as Drapetomania.

Def Dee is heating up the Northwest this winter with some new production - this time with a new free Ep "Zulu Delta". The young Seattle producer wanted to get heads open with something fresh from his crew. Enter ZAR. One of the most original and clever emcees in the Northwest, ZAR is used to spitting bars and breakin' backwoods with the homie Dee since junior high. The years of chemistry show, as ZAR sounds right at home over Dee's 96 inspired production. "Getting creative was the easy part... I was just trying to express my own personal interpretation of Hip-Hop," says Zar, "This Ep was intended to show that there still exists classic lyricists."

"Superman's Dead" is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, lies, trust, and personal strife, where the "World's Strongest Superhero" meets his downfall and demise. "Superman's Dead" is unique, because rather than rap straight-forward to deliver the message, Jus Daze conveys the story's theme through the use of symbols, metaphors, and imagery which he narrates using a dream sequence.
