The Three Eyed Cowz alumnus and EX2 emcee, Syn 228, has his upcoming album "Exodus" scheduled for release this fall. Today, we are sharing a featured track off the album as a free download. SoundCloud Link http://soundcloud.com/abolano/tell-give-show .

With a knack and natural ability to use rapid fire syllables, Syn drafted a blueprint to showcase the renowned Los Angeles "chop" style with two of today's most active west coast ambassadors. What better way to validate Syn's heavyweight status, than by leading off a song with the godfather of the style - Myka 9 of the mighty Freestyle Fellowship. True to the form, Myka not only acknowledged Syn's innate ability and cadence on the song but also raised the bar by matching every syllable in his verse for inspiration. This in turn set up Gel Roc for what some would imagine to be a daunting task that he not only jumped at the opportunity but executed to as near perfection, as possible.

Challenging the listener to decipher intricate lyrics on repeat, "TELL | GIVE | SHOW" is the epitome of classic L.A. underground hip hop.

"Stress City 2 is an album based off the concept of stress in our everyday lives, my everyday life. I wrote the songs based off my experiences and the struggles I went through on a day to day basis. The album was started while I was living in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and the recording process was finished here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. http://kayohes.bandcamp.com/ .

Stress City 2 is not a sequel. The "2," for me, signifies it's progression. I actually released the original Stress City album in 2007 with really no knowledge of what direction I wanted it to take because of the demands life was giving me at the time. With Stress City 2, Bridging the Gap Music, 83 Sound, and myself, really had the time to sit down and talk about it's message and it's direction. We constructed 4 videos, with the help of Misfit Media, and were able to show the public what I had envisioned. Studio access was there, however I wanted to keep the recording process in my apartment, where I felt at home, and away from the blind criticism that often pokes its dirty head at artists. I would wake up, record, go to class, go to work, and then come home and record. Stress was helping me put colors on the canvas and I wanted it to stay that way.

The album is not here for me to say I have an album to push, it's here for you to relate to, because we all have a story to tell. Thanks to everyone involved in helping me get this out. Humbled."

Thanks, Kayohes

Delicious Vinyl, the label that released Cali rap crew The Pharcyde's groundbreaking 1992 debut album Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde (quoted as Kanye West's favorite album), has released a three-CD box set featuring instrumentals and remixes to commemorate its 20-year anniversary. Original members Fatlip and Slimkid3 have also re-joined forces with Bizarre Ride producers J-Sw!ft and L.A. Jay for Bizarre Ride Live, a series of shows where they perform the entire album, blurring the lines between a straight up hip-hop show and a theatrical performance, Bizarre Ride Live includes all the original skits and interludes from the record, and even some special surprise guests (“did somebody page Quinton??”).

No details are missed out as renowned graffiti artist SLICK, who designed the album's cover, art-directs the stage and live audio-visuals are taken care of by L.A. Jay. Expect animated hip-hop, energetic raps, bright colors, b-boy throw-downs, magnetic visuals, a heavy dose of humour, and absolutely everything in between. After a sell-out premiere at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on May 23rd, Bizarre Ride Live is gearing up to tour the U.S. and Europe through the rest of 2012, starting with an August 3 date at Low End Theory in San Francisco, CA and an in-store August 4 at Amoeba Records in Berkeley.

Video: Nico the Beast - "Dead Planet"

On the heels of his hard-knocking True to Form EP with Vanderslice, Nico the Beast debuts a live rendition of his new street single "Dead Planet" off his soon-coming H.O.M.E. album.  Alongside Rec Raw with no hook, the two emcees loom over the murky, hyponotic track like thunder and lightning.
