The Beastie Boys, known for their distinctive style and unique sound, released the iconic single Sabotage in the early 1990’s to rave reviews. In 2011, Dia2ill, an artist equally as unique and enigmatic puts an modernized touch to the classic pop classic. An ardent Beastie Boy fan and a fan of the classic song himself, he crafted the track to perfection; adding his own lyrical and melodic touch to make it something all his own.

Dia2ill wasn’t alone in the process of updating this classic. With production headed by Innerloop Record’s own J-Scrilla, Dia2ill captured the same energy and sound which sent the original song to icon status and added his own unique flair in the process.

Both J-Scrilla and Dia2ill consrtucted the new track from scratch. Later, live guitar would be added to the track by producer Miggz. Dia2ill wanted to catch the listener off guard. He accomplished this task by having assistants of Johnny 3 Legs perform the songs intro. Johnny 3 Legs also assisted with back-up vocals alongside Death Metal singer Ogre. To add an old-school sound to the new-age track. DJ Trayze incorporated the sound of records scratching in the chorus. Engineered by 2Face Ya Wild Boy, the finished product would be sent to Wise so that the final touch of adjusting the track’s instrumentals could be made. Miggz would also be the one to master the final product. With the buzz of the track being remade and the careful time put into the song, Dia2ill is confident this song will be just as big a success as the original before it.

With the holiday season comes gawdy Christmas sweaters, interesting family gatherings, and big-time concerts hosted by some of the country's most powerful important radio stations. Chicago's 107.5 WGCI is one of those stations, and this past December the station hosted their very own Big Jam, a gathering of some of hip-hop's and R&B's most popular names, including Young Jeezy, Wale, R. Kelly, Miguel, Ace Hood, and more.

As the city's fastest rising stars, the L.E.P. Bogus Boys were invited out as the only independent artists to grace the Big Jam stage, and this latest video from Count and Moonie follows the duo behind the scenes, as they make their way to the arena, sit down for interviews with WGCI and MTV, kick it backstage with Wale and Jeremih, and take the stage to perform for a packed – and rabid – crowd of hometown supporters.

2011 was an outstanding year for Moe Green. He kicked things off with his Lionheart EP, a project that continues to receive a warm response nationally and locally, where Bay Area powerhouse 106.1 KMEL has supported EP single "All The Money In The World." He began laying the ground work with streetwear brand Filthy Dripped on his own Out Crowd clothing line, and in between time, he's traveled the country performing shows with the likes of J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy, Das Racist, Kreayshawn, J*Davey, and many more.

n 2012, the Vallejo rapper shows no signs of slowing down, with a string of new music videos expected over the coming months (for songs from Lionheart and his recent Free Water EP), along with a chopped & screwed version of Lionheart. And all of this is a lead-up to Moe's Lionheart 2 EP, scheduled for a March release, and the eventual release of his awaited full-length debut, To Whom It May Concern, which will be released this summer.

In the meantime, Moe takes fans back a few months, to a recent Bay Area performance at The Regency Ballroom with Dom Kennedy, Skeme, and more. In the video, "Out With The Out Crowd," the camera follows Moe and his crew as they make their way through soundcheck, before taking the stage to perform for a packed house.

SHI 360 is anything but your typical hip hop artist. With the credo 'Don't be afraid to think,' SHI 360 combines deft rhymes and fresh, genre-shifting beats with bold social and political messages that spread harmony and peace worldwide. His newest album, "Shalom Haters", arrives on the global hip hop scene at a time when the media has been astoundingly silent in response to recent rocket attacks on Israeli civilians.

'Much of the records songs are a desperate plea for truth in media reporting as well as a cry to stop the seemingly endless violence in the Middle East. The record is a mix of various hip hop styles including American underground and Israeli club. The album's lead single, "Forgive & Forget" reaffirms both sides' shared human suffering, acknowledging 'I see your pain/I know you see my pain' and urges people to rise up against media-perpetuated lies ' 'How do you think/The cameraman is close to the fire' The work is for hire/Showing what they want to inspire.'

SHI 360's hard-hitting lyrics are balanced by a piano-driven beats and guest features from global emcees including the much anticipated return of one of Israel's most celebrated rapper, Booskills. Booskills is responsible for the biggest Israeli club hits through his collaborative work with Subliminal. Surrounded by controversy, Booskills highly anticipated album, "Two Worlds" was never released which left the Israeli market waiting for more from this talented artist. Booskills feature on SHI 360's "Shalom Haters" title track has been a long time coming and finally puts an end to a 7 year wait

Bringing information strikingly missing from today's headlines to the forefront of attention, 'Shalom Haters' challenges media consumers to reassess what they're being told and instead to focus on our shared goal to 'build a stronger tomorrow" and to finally 'put our hands out, and our arms down.'

SHI 360 has sold platinum records in his collaboration with rapper Subliminal and TACT. Significantly influencing the modern Israeli hip hop scene, his appeal is international. His collaboration with the TACT All-Stars album was a ground-breaking, commercial triumph that captivated Israel's music world, selling gold in its first day of release making music history in Israel.

Shalom Haters will be released on January 24th under Shemspeed/360 Music Records. The first single and music video 'Forgive and Forget' is available as a free download on shemspeed.com and at SHI 360's official website, shi360music.com.

MP3: Constant Deviants - "Forever"

In late 2011, rapper M.I. and producer DJ Cutt, collectively known as Constant Deviants, released Platinum: The Mixtape, a project that found the Brooklyn- and Baltimore-based duo mixing all original tracks with a handful of industry favorites. The project did well to show off the duo's range and diversity, important in today's ever-changing hip-hop landscape, where genres are defined and re-defined weekly, monthly, and yearly.

Certain sounds are timeless, though, and with their latest string of all-original non-album tracks – a handful of songs that will precede their forthcoming Diamond album – Constant Deviants are taking it back to their roots. And with their latest leak, "Forever," the duo, as the title suggests, shows their greatest strength: timeless, boom-bap-driven hip-hop.

DJ Cutt produces a soft, electronic-sampling beat for M.I., and he graces it with his own smooth flow and boastful lyrics, a combination that pulls from the chemistry the pair have developed over years working together. "This song is an everyday Constant Deviants collabo," explains M.I. "Cutt sent me the beat; I wrote the verses, and we came together to lay the hook." As for the message of the song, much like their classic sound, Constant Deviants, who have built a strong following selling vinyl independently around the world, are here to stay. "We will be here forever!" exclaims M.I.
