The official video for the new single "Give It Up" featuring DJ Prince & produced by !llmind. The track, which mashes vintage dirty hip hop drums and 808s with dubstep grime, is a staple of !llmind's new signature "boom-trap" sound. Topped with Sky's signature "slick talk" lyricism, the song is a subwoofer's dream come true.

Ypsilanti’s golden child, 14KT, has flipped some of his instrumental magic into full-fledged songs on the new EP A Friendly (Vocal) Game of KT. The original instrumental project was rife with earth quaking bass lines, precise drums and heavenly synths. Now the vocal version pairs select beats with equally select MC’s to tease a few great instrumentals into a few classic songs. The Ep debuted at Complex today!

Emcee and producer Jai Nitai (pronounced Thai Nee-tie) Lotus describes his style of music as experimental hip-hop. On his debut solo LP, Something You Feel, due out November 6, Jai draws on samples, dark synthesized pieces, and off-kilter drums with meaningful lyrics to create new, soulful soundscapes that are distinctly his own. The LP features guests such as Georgia Anne Muldrow, Declaime (Dudley Perkins), The Narcicyst (Freeway, Shadia Mansour, Omar Offendum), and Sarah Linhares (Om'Mas Keith from Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Moonstarr, RBMA). Jai held down the role of emcee, recording engineer and producer on Something You Feel, except for one track produced by Simahlak (The Lonely Island, DJ A-Trak, 4th Pyramid).

Zion I's seventh album ShadowBoxing is now available online and in stores. Zumbi and Amp Live seamlessly blend a mix of Hip-hop and Electronic music together, a task often attempted but rarely accomplished and produced with an organic sound. Zumbi's lyrics creatively express the endurance and perseverance of internal conflicts, a theme present throughout the album named after the same concept. ShadowBoxing features Collie Buddz, Goapele, D.U.S.T., The Grouch & Eligh, Martian Luther, and production from Amp Live, Dexbeats, Traxamillion, and Timeline, along with a Bassnectar edit.
