MC KHINGZ reps Seattle's southside to the fullest and unleashes his demons on the REL!G!ON-produced "Monster's Lib", the first single from the former gangster turned poet's new album Liberation Of The Monster.  Feeling boxed in by labels and expectations of fans and friends who tried to subtly direct him to a more spoken word bohemian feel, KHINGZ reacts with this visceral and at times painful album; a declaration that he will not be boxed in or defined by anything but his own actions or anyone but his own heart. Listen, digest and free your inner beast.

MP3: Daily Bread - "Night Time"

MP3: Daily Bread - "Night Time"

Courtesy Mello Music Group.

Night Time starts with an Apollo Brown styled bluesy, soul sample before kicking into a straight forward, solid drum knock backed by strings  - you know, the way we like our Apollo beats.  The gravel voiced Hassaan Mackey seems to stroll into the beat so even toned you know he's about to get raw with the story.  "Another case of that Saturday Night Fever / Color me a dreamer / Cause I be watching  hustlers in their Benzes and their beemers / Cuttin in the city streets or riding round with heaters / cause they don't plan on N***as in the fam trying to defeat em / blowin out freedom".  From there the story just gets grittier.  Apollo offers a nice sample based hook to compliment the narrative "always watching my back / after dark is when the drama start".
