Free DL: Wax, Ed E. Ruger & Kosha Dillz are "Nationally Rollin'"
The bicoastal Kosha Dillz hits the road with Venice Beach native Wax and North Cackalacka's Ed E. Ruger on "Nationally Rollin'," the lowrider influenced road trip anthem. Produced by L.A.'s Jon Jackson, "Nationally Rollin'" fuses several funk, jazz and latin music elements over quick paced percussions, that gives each emcee a lane to showcase their 'roller coaster flow.' Each verse starts off effortless and smooth and ends in a double timed crescendo before merging back into the hooks anthemic chant: "NY to LA yo', DC to Diego, Carolina to the Bay yo', we just nationally rollin'.." Be sure to check out Kosha Dillz' performance in Part 2 of The Warm Up Cypher (with RZA on the turntables) at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Over the past couple years, there's been a noted resurgence in the Bay Area's hip-hop scene, not only in the quality of the music coming from the Northern California region, but also in the diversity sounds. Paramount in that resurgence has been a breed of new rappers, and one of the first artists given notice is rising Vallejo rapper Moe Green. Moe first hit the scene with the 2010 release of his debut mixtape, Rocky Maivia: Non-Title Match, and has since followed up on that project with a string of noteworthy releases, including the Lionheart EP, the Free Water EP, and, most recently, a chopped and screwed version of Lionheart. Today, Moe is releasing his latest effort, Lionheart II.
