Adam's World Weekly - High Hopes
Welcome to the new week everyone. This past weekend I cleaned up my office. It was quite the task, and I found all sorts of things that should been moved to the circular file a long time ago, like a fantasy baseball magazine from 2009 (FYI, they were REALLY into Hanley Ramirez and Fausto Carmona). Hopefully by removing so many old ideas, and completed opportunities, I will have created space for some new ones. What's new in this week's email is a fresh Pop Shots, my five hopes for hip-hop in 2013, a look at what makes MTV's new backwoods hit Buckwild great (shout out to Cara from Buckwild for re-tweeting the link!), a photo album from The Saturdays and Kerli show in NYC, and a Vid Pick from Hopie Spitshard.
If you dig any of these features please feel free to forward this email to a friend. Thanks, and enjoy!
Pop Shots - Stop Signs
Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from what could stop One Direction's attempt at taking Tokyo, to Jessica Simpson putting a stop to her unemployment, to a ratings slide for American Idol that doesn't seem to be stopping no matter who they have as judges, and since it's Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.

This isn't a list of albums we're all looking forward to, or New Year's resolutions no one plans on keeping, they're simply my hopes for hip-hop in the coming year. I think over the years hip-hop has made great strides, but at the same time there are areas where we've been slipping. My five hopes for 2013 take a look at what can help hip-hop be at its best.

The Beauty of Buckwild
MTV has a reality show hit on their hands, and people are claiming it's "dumbing down" society. Sound familiar? It seems as though every time the former music television network brings a group of kids together and chronicles their lives critics feel it's the end of humanity as we know it. It never actually is, and in the case of MTV's latest hit, Buckwild, it might actually be the opposite, as the network is showing us a group of people that do what very few of their detractors know how to do - appreciate, and enjoy, what they have.
