Tiffney Cambridge called off her wedding to Jayceon 'The Game' Taylor two weeks before it was scheduled to take place. What's complicated about that is that they already have kids together. What's even MORE complicated about that is that she was filming a reality show about marrying Jayceon for VH1 at the time! Now they've got a second chance to make it right on "Marrying the Game" - a second season of their reality show which continues tonight on VH1! A recap of what happened on the show follows.
We open with edited highlights of last week's "Co-Parenting" episode, which ended with Tiffney trying to text him to discuss their differences, only to have her messages be ignored because he was doing a paid appearance at a club. This week she's on the phone with their mutual friend Daphne while she's driving around, and she's upset he's not answering her texts. That doesn't last long though because she goes to see Christie Rose - the wedding planner. Christie says it has been a year now and they're starting to lose the deposits they made - so she wants an update. Tiffney says she and Jayceon are "together but not together" and "really trying to get back to where we were" but it's "a rocky road." Christie says do you think it's six months, a year, five years? Tiffney: "I don't have a time." Ouch. Christie says maybe in a year or 18 months you'll feel different. Tiffney: "We'll see."
Jayceon is talking with his assistant Lolo when Daphne shows up. So now he's got a woman on either side of him - and he only wanted one of them there. He says it's good to see you but you weren't invited - so why the unexpected visit? She admits she's been talking to Tiff. Jayceon: "Deep in my heart, I want my family to work." Daphne: "So how do you fix that? You have to go talk to Tiff." Jayceon: "We done this before and I'm tired of that. I'm just really confused right now." This sends us to a commercial break.
We're back at 9:40 and Tiffney is driving her two kids with Jayceon around. They wind up at a bookstore called "Books and Cookies" which is obviously designed for kids (though I never see them eating any cookies). This segment doesn't last long though before we go to "little sister Maya" coming over for a visit. Tiffney is like you know what? It's time for a drink. I'm not sure what she's making because the labels are carefully kept off camera, but it's a blue bottle and a clear liquid, so I'm pretty sure she's making a vodka mixer of some sort. Maya decides to get real with her and says you need to know the difference between what you want and what you have. Tiff says she wants "a refined thug" and she says her frustration is that he can clearly pick and choose when to be a gentleman and to be a G - and he chooses the wrong times to be which one.
Next we go to Jayceon with his kids and it's SUPERDAD time again - he's letting them all have one cupcake each before bed. Cali buries her face in her cupcake and gets "a cupcake mustache." Jayceon admits when he's with his children, he realizes family is what he wants most, and he wants Tiffney to be a part of that too. "Having a daughter changed my life. It changed the respect I have for women, and that's solely because of Cali." No kidding? You can't really think of women as bitches and hoes when your daughter is going to grow up to be hit on by rappers too.
Next seen is Game and his crew all eating together, including Lolo and his manager Taydoe, and he's telling them about the fact Daphne came over uninvited yesterday. Lolo tries to explain what Tiffney is thinking, and she says what Tiffney is looking for is compromise, and that he has to "turn it down" a little bit. After joking around for a bit he admits that it might be time to have that heart to heart talk and see if they can't work it out - which sends us to another commercial break.
We're back at 9:51 ET and Jayceon has finally decided to come over to Tiffney's place to talk it out. He admits that he got her texts but his response for not responding is "I'm taking it one day at a time" and that their relationship is "a work in progress." She wants to know if it's still co-parenting, and whether or not his emoticons are sending mixed signals. "What you mean the winks?" No she means the PURPLE EGGPLANT. Don't think too long (or "too hard") about what that one would stand for. She asks if she gets on his nerves, and he says he feels unappreciated for all he does for her and the kids. Tiff: "You use the fact you're a rapper to do whatever you want to do." He says he's not going to be turned down for 10 more years. Tiff: "Good luck being 43 at the club!" She says she's 37 now and she's already turned down. Jayceon: "Can you give me that?" She's exasperated. "So what I have to wait four more years?" Commercial.
We're back at 9:57. He admits even 4 years won't be happening for him. Then he says in 10 years he wants a Thanksgiving dinner where they are all together and Harlem is introducing his girlfriend to them. She says they have to know what they are now to know how they get to that point. She wants to know what they are - friends, lovers, parents. Game: "I'm going to give you that one. Whatever you want us to be." She's not happy with that - she wanted him to decide. Her last words for this episode are that the conversation ends with the same feeling she had before it even started. The teaser for next week is her giving the engagement ring back to Jayceon. That's it for episode 2!
