[Jay-Z courtesy Wikimedia Commons]There's no question that Shawn Corey Carter and Kanye Omari West got their "swagger back" with the #1 video on this list. The interesting thing about the "20 Most" for 2011 though is how overwhelmingly dominant these videos are. It's not as though underground rap just suddenly dried up and disappeared this year, but the way these songs and singles took over the landscape is truly remarkable. Just look at the view counts - from 10 million to a 100 million for almost every one on the list.

Perhaps it's fair to say HIP-HOP got its swagger back too in 2011 - commercially that is. The undeniable power of hip-hop in the mainstream, much like Nicki Minaj's booty shaking "Super Bass," simply couldn't be ignored.
