[DJ Premier courtesy Wikimedia]I'm trying something new this week, and I'm expecting the 4,000+ followers on Twitter to participate, so I actively encourage sharing and retweeting this article. Basically the format of "Who Sampled It Better?" is simple - for every edition that is posted I'll pick four famous hip-hop breaks along with two songs that sampled it prominently. You can play the clips here, and below each one will be a poll you can vote in. Pick the song that you think looped it best and place your vote on Twitter, and after a week has passed I'll do a follow-up revealing the results and adding my own thoughts on the choices. I won't do that BEFORE the vote because I want it to be entirely neutral. I expect to be surprised by some of the songs that win, but don't pick a song because it's obscure or because it's NOT obscure - listen to both and choose who you genuinely think flipped it better!

1.) Roy Ayers Ubiquity - "Everybody Loves the Sunshine"

* Brand Nubian - "Wake Up (Reprise in the Sunshine)"

* Erule - "Listen Up"

2.) Isaac Hayes - "Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic"

* Public Enemy - "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos"

3.) The Isley Brothers - "Between the Sheets"

* Da Brat - "Funkdafied"

* Keith Murray - "The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World"
