Welcome back to the Retro Hunting Adventures! This week’s episode takes us back to Tradepost (formerly known as CD Tradepost) and features my ruminations on the fact that so many games made for handhelds are now sold loose without the box or instructions.
That’s somewhat understandable from the 1980’s, 90’s and even to a degree the early 2000’s, but once games started being sold in plastic clamshells with the instructions stuck inside (DS, 3DS, PSP, et cetera) it’s mind boggling to me that people would THEN throw the box away. What’s even worse though is that it’s not necessarily the home consumer who did that — it’s large retail chains like GameStop that threw the boxes away!
