The Sega Dreamcast officially launched in the United States on Sept. 9, 1999 (9/9/99) with the whispered motto “it’s thinking” to let you know it was some next level advanced SHIT. I didn’t advance to that level until it went on clearance at Best Buy for $50, right at the end of the console’s lifespan, and by then I had already played it a few times.
20 years later I’ve dug up the original bag packed in with my Dreamcast and now I’ll share with you what came inside a Sega Dreamcast back in the day. It’s not LAUNCH day, but I imagine the contents are PRETTY similar.
