Even though this game was localized for the TurboGrafx-16 as Drop Off, I would actually recommend the PC Engine version for a couple of reasons. The obvious one is the price difference – you can get a loose copy of Drop Rock Hora Hora for under $10, while Drop Off can cost at least $25 loose and more complete.
The other reason is that the absolutely CAMPY dialogue that was written by DataEast for this game is so great I invented a portmanteau of “engrish” and “terrific” and called it “engrish-a-riffic” to describe it. WOLDN’T you agree? You have to see this for yourself. It’s a “go forth dauntlessly” level of amusing and fun.
