Steve 'Flash' JuonA fellow Mega Man and NES collector contacted me today about a box and manual variant he had in his collection, and asked me if I could compare it to my own. The first thing I noticed was that his box has a silver sticker on the front promoting a special offer for a Captain Commando battery powered watch — mine does not.
The second and most fascinating thing is that the back of his box has this text: “that strange multi-layered land of robot-like Humanoids created by the wrongly performed experiments with human beings by Dr. Wright.” The copy on my box (and almost all that I’ve seen) reads the same except for “experiments with human beings by Dr. Wily.” What the hell?!
