This game ABSOLUTELY should have come out for TurboGrafx-16 in the United States. Metal Stoker: Neo Hardboiled Shooting is already in English to begin with, has a great combination of various gameplay types (shoot ’em up, tank combat, Smash TV/Robotron) that would’ve been a hit with gamers, and it even looks and sounds like anything comparable on the market if not a little bit better. So what happened? FACE!
No that’s not a silly diss, that’s the name of the developer. They are so small they barely made a dent in Japan, which is why this game is now another title that fetches exorbitant prices, so there was no chance that even a game already in English to begin with was ever getting a print run in the U.S. Subscribe to Mistah MegaManFan for new episodes of The PC Engine Files every Tuesday at 8 PM ET.
