Vixen 357 is a Japan only Mega Drive game that was selected by Super Fighter Team for localization to English speaking territories in 2019, with a release price of $63 in the U.S. and $70 elsewhere around the world, but the project was unexpectedly abandoned and left on the proverbial scrap heap. I decided to take a look at the game’s Japanese incarnation and while it’s possible there are character dialogue trees that would have been too text heavy to make it worthwhile, a lot of it seems like a typical tactical RPG where you select units, move units, and fight units.
If they already started could it have been THAT hard to finish? We’ll never know unless an unfinished version leaks or a fan patch takes its place, but there was a lot of promise here.
