Steve 'Flash' JuonIn the last year a lot of classic Looney Tunes characters like Pepe LePew, Speedy Gonzales and Slowpoke Rodriguez have gotten closer scrutiny as to how offensive they might be to modern sensibilities. I’m not opposed to this at all. I think times change and attitudes change, and while I wouldn’t argue for airing cartoons that play fast and loose with racist stereotypes, I also wouldn’t argue for deleting them altogether and pretending that they don’t exist.
