Makai Prince Dorabocchan is one of those Japan exclusive games that’s actually part of a series but people don’t know it. It doesn’t help that it came out on two different consoles – the first on PC Engine, the second on Super Famicom; it also doesn’t help that in the U.S. the sequel was known as The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang.
Add to that the fact that Spike McFang is ridiculously expensive, and you have the perfect recipe for a game languishing in obscurity just because not enough people have played the first entry let ALONE the second.
